Klatu Plans Move to QualityTech's New Miami Data Center

QualityTech's new Miami Data Center is set to open during July 2008

(PRWEB) June 7, 2008 -- Klatu's servers have been hosted at the BellSouth e-business co-location center since 2001. Approximately 2 years ago, BellSouth sold off its co-location business to IBM Global Hosting, who has managed the center ever since. Last year, IBM Global Hosting's customer portfolio was transferred to Quality Technology Services (QualityTech).

The new Miami Data Center, located at 11234 NW 20th Street in Miami, is less than 5 miles from our office and the location is located over 14 Miles from Biscayne Bay and in an area that is rated at over 4 feet above FEMA's projected 100 year flood level.

QualityTech's Miami Data Center is building a "N+1 Design" Tier III facility capable of providing uninterrupted power on a 24x7x365 basis to approximately 20,000 square feet of "Data Center" area. Two separate Florida Power & Light power feeds power 3 on-site 2,000 KvA transformers. Both power feeds originate at the same FP&L Substation that powers Miami-Dade County's 911 Operations Center.
