Searchbay (http://www.Searchbay.com) has released a public beta version of its new search engine and comparison shopping tool. Designed to be simple and intuitive, Searchbay allows users to view and compare results from multiple shopping websites with a single search via a virtual tabbed browsing interface.

A search for a product-related keyword will return results from eBay, uBid, Overstock.com, and Amazon.com. The results are displayed via individual tabs, which enables users to navigate between each shopping website with a single click. Users can then search within the tabs to narrow down their search on the individual shopping website of their choice.

By utilizing a single-search mechanism to display results across multiple websites, Searchbay has created a truly simple and functional comparison shopping metasearch tool.

According to creator Bradley Markham, Searchbay was designed to address the need for a simple way to shop online on multiple websites with a single search. "We created Searchbay in response to the rising popularity of tabbed browsing. The reason that tabbed browsing makes so much sense is that it makes for easy navigation between websites. We've basically pre-packaged a tabbed browsing experience of top shopping websites within a single search interface on a single webpage."

Searchbay is currently in beta release and will be adding new features in the near future. It operates as a subsidiary of Simpio Marketing, LLC and is based in Austin, TX.
