Freestone's City Grill, a restaurant in New Bedford, Massachusetts, was recently featured in the Cape Cod Life Magazine as one of the best places in the Cape Cod area for lunch.

New Bedford, Mass. (PRWEB) June 8, 2008 -- Firestone's City Grill, a New Bedford, Massachusetts-based restaurant, was recently featured in the Cape Cod Life magazine as one of the best places in the Cape Cod area to go for lunch.

Freestone's has passed through several owners, and features several house specialties on its menus, including a clam and scallop platter, filet mignon, Ala-Mama sirloin and chicken teriyaki.

Freestone's City Grill has enjoyed serving its community for nearly 25 years, and its customers' satisfaction and enjoyment is the first goal. Over the years, Freestone's has garnered recognition and awards, and is recognized in most travel guides and its chowder is a winner in the Newport Chowder Cook-off. The seafood and produce are purchased daily from the best local suppliers. Freestone's City Grill continues to reinvent itself, offering the essence of the American dining experience in the heart of the City.

About Freestone's City Grill:
The new owners Jack and Tiffany Wetherbee and Russell and Joanne Kandalaft bought Freestone's in February 2006 with the goal of enhancing a notable New Bedford landmark. The new owners have spent time refurbishing the dining room, bar, and kitchens. Along with the physical improvements, the new owners have enlarged the menu to encompass the flavors that are New Bedford. Freestone's is often called the "Cheers" of New Bedford where family and friends can meet at the unique copper top bar. Customers can relax with one of Freestone's oversized martinis or margaritas or enjoy a delicious meal in the dining room.
