Boston, MA (PRWEB) June 12, 2008
Unwired Appeal announced the launch of its new TextJam™ Text-to-Screen service that enables cell phone users to send text-messages from their cell phones to networked digital screens.
The text-to-screen service was primarily designed for in-venue events such as concerts and sporting events with large-screen digital displays. But the technology can also be used with smaller audiences at meetings and conferences for displaying questions and feedback.
Unwired Appeal provides an automated filtering system and integrated monitoring interface that allows administrators to review and approve text messages before they are displayed. Messages with unsuitable content can be easily filtered and rejected. The monitoring interface is entirely web-based and accessible from any remote location.
"We created the TextJam™ service as cost-effective and scalable text-to-screen solution", commented Stephen Nye, Unwired Appeal's VP of sales. "Initial development was for large interactive screens, but when we started receiving requests for smaller in-venue deployments we expanded the service and packaged it into a client-managed module."
The service also includes mobile voting and polling modules for gathering and displaying audience response. Premium SMS billing is also available. Unwired Appeal maintains SMS and Premium SMS connections to all major carriers including Verizon Wireless, AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint/Nextel, Alltel, U.S. Cellular, Cellular One, Virgin, and Boost Mobile.
