Grocery coupons are becoming increasingly important.

Gonicofish.com announced today that it has partnered with News America Marketing® in order to provide online consumers with printable SmartSource grocery coupons. Visitors to the site may select some or all from a number of discounts, which they can then print and redeem at local grocery stores. Customers also have the option of receiving future offers via email.

Laura Richards, VP, Corporate Communications of News America Marketing sees printable coupons as one tool shoppers can use to offset rising food costs. According to a statement by the United States Department of Agriculture, "In 2008, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for all food is projected to increase 4.5 to 5.5 percent, as retailers continue to pass on higher commodity and energy costs to consumers in the form of higher retail prices."

Prior to founding Gonicofish.com, Bassman was Senior Financial Director for the Detroit Lions. During eighteen years in the corporate finance arena, she acquired experience in mortgage banking, commercial real estate, retail, sports, and entertainment. She was also instrumental in the start-up of Detroit's Ford Field, which has 16 different business systems, a retail store, commercial office space, concerts, an NFL football arena, a parking garage and banquet facilities.
