US National Telecom (USNT) - Packetrino's $19,000 Software is a Success
Packetrino has now proven in a high volume production environment that the sofware works, and even exceeds expectations. This $19,950 software is designed to be deployed by smaller VoIP telecom providers in high volume environments, and keep costs low as they expand by using inexpensive back end servers.
Denver, CO (PRWEB) June 12, 2008 -- US National Telecom (Pinksheets: USNT) agreed to invest in Packetrino and help develop and market carrier grade telecom softswitches. The first product which has been released and installed in a production environment is handling millions of miniutes of inbound and outband voice traffic each month.
The software acts as a SIP load balancer and SIP Registrar and many VoIP providers will deploy the two-server Packetrino solution to leverage Asterisk servers and build "server farms" to handle an almost unlimited amount of call volume. The target audience of wholesale VoIP providers offer carrier grade solutions including domestic call Origination, DIDs, global call Termination, local and Toll Free numbers, E911, and digital Fax services and SIP trunking to enterprise PBX systems. Wholesale providers would use Packetrino in data centers connected to XO, Level3, Internap and others.
VoIP providers can handle milions of minutes of traffic per day using the $19,950 Packetrino software along with a small cluster of Asterisk or other such low cost servers. With Packetrino a large VoIP telecom could save tens of thousands of dollars in upfront and ongoing costs, and still be able to handle all of their voice traffic.
The full Packetrino Carrier Switch will be released towards the end of 2008, and will include a wide array of management and reporting tools. The $65,000 Packetrino Carrier Switch will compete directly with other switches costing upwards of $215,000, although Packetrino will have more features and handle a higher traffic load. There are other companies in the space including Nextone, Nextpoint, Acme Packet and Foundry.
The current share structure of USNT is 460,083,750 shares outstanding with 240,763,800 Restricted and 2,000,000 Preferred shares.
