The eWEEK Excellence Awards judges were duly impressed.
Fremont, CA (PRWEB) June 11, 2008
Zenprise announced today that eWEEK, the industry leader for strategic technology information, has named Zenprise for BlackBerry® the winner in eWEEK's 8th annual Excellence Awards program in the Mobile and Wireless category.
The eWEEK Excellence Awards program provides the benchmark by which enterprise IT professionals can assess a wide range of technology products and services. A panel of eWEEK editors judged the entries this year. They applied their industry and technology expertise to their evaluation of the hundreds of products and services entered into the program. The entries were evaluated based on:
- Practical integration of emerging technologies
- Suitability to task
- Cost effectiveness
- Potential for helping companies create business efficiencies
- Potential for helping companies develop competitive advantage
"All of this year's entrants truly leverage the latest technologies and computing models to provide solutions that effectively align with business needs," said eWEEK Editor Debra Donston. "The eWEEK Excellence Awards judges were duly impressed."
"IT administrators have enough systems to monitor," said Jayaram Bhat, CEO of Zenprise. "By automatically troubleshooting end user issues across the BlackBerry environment, Zenprise makes it simple enough for even the junior level IT staff to monitor the BlackBerry® Enterprise Server (BES). Having Zenprise for BlackBerry recognized by eWEEK is a testament to the end to end value we deliver to our customers."
Zenprise software automatically troubleshoots end user issues across the entire BlackBerry environment. Unlike traditional BlackBerry monitoring solutions, Zenprise identifies the root cause of user issues and provides detailed resolution instructions to fix these problems. In addition to monitoring BES, Zenprise is the only solution that also checks wireless network availability, Active Directory health, BlackBerry SRP availability, carrier availability, WAN/LAN network performance, and overall Microsoft Exchange server health.
Zenprise and its products have continued to gain the admiration of the industry. In 2006, the company was honored by InfoWorld as one of fifteen "Startups to Watch," won TechWorld's "Troubleshooting/Analysis Product of the Year," and was a Codie's "Software Newcomer of the Year" finalist. In 2007, Zenprise won the Technology of the Year award in InfoWorld's annual Technology of the Year issue, SearchExchange.com's "2006 Product of the Year," and was a finalist in the Red Herring 100 and Red Herring 100 Global Awards, Windows IT Pro Editor's Best and PC Pro Awards. Additionally, Zenprise is the only startup to have won the Best of Tech-Ed award two years in a row. Last year Zenprise won in the messaging category and in 2007 won the best mobility solution.
