MyStudentBody® Announces Next Generation Program

Online student wellness program undergoes major upgrade.

Newton, MA (PRWEB) June 16, 2008 -- MyStudentBody®, a comprehensive online wellness program for college students, announced today the launch of their next generation program. Developed with $6 million in grants from the National Institutes of Health and validated by clinical trials, MyStudentBody helps campus administrators tackle the most relevant health issues on campuses today, particularly binge drinking and drug use. This primary prevention program is currently being used by more than 1 million college students, university administrators, and health professionals at schools across the United States, including University of Georgia, Florida State University, Wake Forest University, University of North Carolina Chapel Hill and the University of Michigan Ann Arbor.

The next generation program includes engaging, interactive tools, robust reporting, and unique courses for each of five key campus populations: First-year, Greek, Athlete, Judicial, and General. Students receive tailored feedback based on their responses to self-assessments. For administrators, a variety of new customization have been developed include adding school logos, messaging, events, polls, campus resources, and policies to reinforce the message that the campus is working to better students' health and safety. Perhaps most importantly, the program experience is brief and highly engaging with a funky new design that appeals to college students.

"As college students increasingly use the Internet to address both academic and health questions, it is critical to provide them with an engaging, interactive experience that meets their needs. The new release of MyStudentBody offers tailored alcohol information based in the latest science. We are not seeking to provide students with a website but, rather, with a risk reduction intervention," says Emil Chiauzzi, PhD, Vice-President of Product Strategy at Inflexxion®.

In addition to its primary purpose of providing health and risk prevention education to college students, MyStudentBody provides schools with real-time aggregate data reporting to help administrators and health professionals monitor outcomes of campus-specific health initiatives.
