This is a revolutionary idea for social networking

PF Digital, which manufactures the eStarling connected Wi-Fi digital photo frame, today announced new social networking capabilities for its product line. eStarling photo frame owners can now automatically stream photos from Facebook and other social networking sites, direct to eStarling frames via their account.

Connecting Digital Life to Real Life

This capability is the first of its kind that allows social networking outlets to communicate with consumer electronic devices. As a demonstrated market pioneer and leader of connected photo frames, eStarling is now further extending its position in the rapidly growing field.

"We are always updating and modifying our Web sites and devices to be on top of the newest technology," said Jeff Luo, president of PF Digital. "We are the first to try something like this."

Easy Features Allow Continuous Photo Access

By simply logging in to Facebook through eStarling's Seeframe.com photo frame management site, owners automatically connect their picture frame to all of their Facebook friends.

When new images are uploaded to the Facebook site by friends, they also automatically appear on the digital frame -- whether it's in an office, kitchen, Internet café, bedroom, dorm room or living room.

"This is a revolutionary idea for social networking," said Luo. "It's a great way to stay in touch with your friends in a novel fashion that doesn't require you access your computer. Your Web 2.0 social networking relationships can now talk directly to non-PC devices. It's a great way to bring your Web relationships directly into your living room."

The eStarling photo frame features will meet everyone's needs:

*E-mail Frame: Each frame has a unique e-mail address so photos can be received from computers or mobile phones. A built-in e-mail filter protects against unwanted photos. No setup is required to send photos to the frame.
*Social Media Frame: Through API integration, users can have their photos, as well as their friend's images, directly extracted from social networks for frame display. Such networks include Facebook, MySpace, Photobucket and Flickr, among others.
*Digital Greeting Card: Create fun photos, add texts, and send them as greeting cards.
*RSS Frame: The eStarling frame supports all major RSS photo feeds, including Flickr, Picasa, Photobucket, AOL, Smugmug, iPhoto, Gallery, and more. Users can recommend and share their favorite RSS photo feed among the eStarling community.
*Group Frame: Family and friends can set up a single e-mail address that corresponds to multiple frames so photos can easily be shared and displayed simultaneously.
*Timed Play: Users can choose photos to be displayed on specified dates; such as a user's birthday or anniversary.
