Lulu de Kwiatkowski, Founder and Chief Designer of Lulu DK Fabrics and Wallpaper has joined the John Matouk Company to create a fresh new collection of bedding linens that combines a modern outlook with a classic love of luxury and comfort. The artful fabric designs, inspired by everything from a field of tulips to a street scene in Bombay, make a bedding ensemble that is at once cheerful and eclectic.
Lulu DK moved to Paris after graduating from the Parsons School of Design in NY with a degree in fine arts and interior design. While in Paris, she studied trompe l'oeil and traveled extensively throughout India, Morocco, Italy and Peru, collecting colorful artifacts and developing an appreciation for old world artistry and craftsmanship. Her experiences translated first into decorative wall painting, then after stumbling across a traditional fabric mill in Paris, into a fantasy of richly patterned fabrics developed from her original floral and geometric designs.
The integration of Lulu DK's colorful and distinctive patterns with luxurious Matouk Italian linens in soft 500 thread count Egyptian cotton is a dream come true for lovers of opulent linens everywhere. The rich and vibrant prints resonate with the beauty of the natural world, and an accompanying line of classic solid linens in smoothest sateen allows for creative layering combinations.
The newest collection of Lulu DK Matouk bedding designs is available at Elegant Linens in Henderson, NV and online at http://www.ElegantLinensPC.com.
