Silverlight™ Design Group Merges With ISC
Company to take advantage of Microsoft Silverlight Partner Initiative.
Tallahassee, FL (Vocus/PRWEB ) June 13, 2008 -- ISC announced today that it has completed a merger with interactive design firm White Dog Design Group. The news comes in conjunction with ISC’s entry into the Microsoft Silverlight Partner Initiative, which is geared toward promoting Microsoft’s partner product and service offerings around the new platform for rich, interactive websites.
According to Microsoft’s website, “Microsoft® Silverlight™ is a cross-browser, cross-platform, and cross-device plug-in for delivering the next generation of media experiences and rich interactive applications for the Web.”
ISC recently announced that full support for Silverlight and WPF (Windows Presentation Framework) will be released in the third quarter of 2008 in its MapDotNet line of geographic information systems products. “Silverlight and WPF are strategic technologies for us moving forward,” said Mark Alexander, President of ISC, “support for these next-generation platforms in our products and services is becoming a key differentiator for us, and we are excited about adding this new dimension to our core competencies as well as to our Microsoft partnership.”
Mr. Alexander went on to explain that user experience, or UX, has rapidly become the central issue for many of ISC’s customers as they seek to take advantage of the new advances in web-based geospatial analysis and visualization which ISC’s MapDotNet application platform embraces. “Darren Allen of White Dog Design will head up our new design team as the Director of Creative Design. His depth of experience in website usability and interactive design impressed us when we collaborated with his firm in the past. He brings a long list of customers with him.”
