Eight grand-prize winners, including Bluitt, and their guests will receive complimentary airfare, world-class accommodations, tickets to marquee Olympic events and a chance to meet AT&T-sponsored Team USA athletes. In addition, the eight grand-prize winners will be outfitted with BlackJack II wireless devices and AT&T international wireless service to stay connected to friends and family back at home while they're enjoying the Olympic Games in Beijing. The program is designed to connect Americans with U.S. Olympic hopefuls before and at the games in China.
Consumers could register for the chance to win through http://www.att.com, and wireless customers of AT&T also entered by sending the text message TeamUSA to 2008 from their wireless device. Participants could also earn one bonus entry at http://www.att.com by submitting an essay, by uploading a photo or video with a short description about how they are connected to AT&T-sponsored Team USA hopefuls or by completing a questionnaire to determine how they are connected to the U.S. Olympic Team.
