Aquire, the leader in visual workforce planning and management solutions, today announced that CEO and Co-Founder Lois Melbourne recently became one of an elite group of human resources professionals from around the world who are GPHR (Global Professional in Human Resources) certified. At this writing, fewer than 1000 people have passed the rigorous GPHR test given by The Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI), the leading independent, internationally recognized certifying body for the HR profession.

"Studying for and taking the GPHR certification test was both a personal challenge and a professional exercise, so successfully passing the test is doubly satisfying," said Melbourne. "And while the certification itself is a great addition to my professional credentials, I think it is an even greater representation of our dedication to fully appreciate and understand one of the key industries we serve - human resources."

According to HRCI, the certification signifies that Melbourne possesses the theoretical knowledge and practical experience in international human resource management necessary to pass a rigorous examination demonstrating a mastery of the body of knowledge in the field.

From a more personal perspective, this new knowledge enhances Melbourne's existing experience of working with global customers to address their workforce planning demands. It also extends to Aquire by further growing its network of HR professionals and, by extension, boosting its ability to reach and serve customers from this group.

HRCI is the credentialing body for human resource professionals and is affiliated with the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), the world's largest organization dedicated exclusively to the human resource profession. HRCI's purpose is to promote the establishment of professional standards and to recognize professionals who meet those standards. HRCI awards two other levels of certification: Professional in Human Resources (PHR) and Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR). To become certified, an applicant must pass a comprehensive examination and demonstrate a strong background of professional human resource experience.
