Messaging Architects today announced that it will present the best practices for mitigating email risk in a free, live webcast on Thursday, June 26 @ 1:00 pm EDT. Anne-Lisa de Forest, Vice-President of the company's consulting division, will draw on Messaging Architects' 13 years of experience assisting more than 3,000 government, education, healthcare and corporate clients to secure their email systems and meet compliance requirements.

Attendees of the webcast will receive practical insights on how to bridge security and compliance gaps within their organization and mitigate email risk - from the moment a message is sent and received to its end-of-life destruction. Attendees will also be eligible to schedule a free, one-on-one telephone consultation with Messaging Architects and receive a free email risk assessment tailored for their organization.

"The growing number of email security threats and data leaks, combined with increasing legal and regulatory pressure to produce email records 'on-demand' during litigation, an audit or open records request, is exposing organizations to significant risk," said Anne-Lisa de Forest, Vice-President of Consulting and Professional Services at Messaging Architects.

According to a recent study by Radicati Group, six percent of workers admitted to having emailed confidential or sensitive company information to someone they were not supposed to. Organizations that failed to produce their email records on time during a lawsuit or destroyed their email records too early have been slapped with hefty fines and even imprisonment.

"Part of the problem is that organizations don't have a written email policy that clearly informs employees what they are permitted and not permitted to send and receive at work, and which emails they need to retain versus which they can delete, " explains de Forest. "They also don't have a structured and systematic way of communicating those policies to employees. The price they end up paying is high."

During the webcast, de Forest will discuss the importance of adopting compliant, email policies and practices, and share insights on how to automate the enforcement of those policies through technology controls.
