Peternity.com, a place that helps people to honor the memories and lives of their pets, is now featuring master artist Laura Glusha, a commercial artist, painter and teacher with many years in the fields of fashion and children's illustration. Her work for Peternity includes hand painted images on semi-precious stones that serve as pet memorials for all animals, from cats and dogs, to horses and birds. Rocks and gemstones come to life as she creates works of art, working in mediums such howlite stone, petrified wood, jade, agate and jasper. Pet memorial art matches the characteristics of a pet's photo with the characteristics of the semi-precious stones and then brings the animal to life.

Rocks and gemstones come to life as she creates works of art, working in mediums such howlite stone, petrified wood, jade, agate and jasper. Glusha uses her expertise to match the characteristics of a pet's photo with the characteristics of the stones and then brings the animal to life.

A published author, Glusha wrote and illustrated the highly successful book, "Suck-a-toe", the story of the rehabilitation of an abused baby monkey, born at the Los Angeles Zoo, with whom Laura developed a special bond. Other animal related work includes a drawing book of endangered species featuring the panda and the penguin, and a group of murals of the rain forest for the pediatric clinic of the Caremore Medical Group in Los Angeles. She also formed a company called Nature's Shadows focusing on the environment to involve children in animals and their habitats with Karen Muldrew, a puppeteer, writer and teacher. Throughout her years in the profession she has studied with some of the most proficient and recognized artists and teachers of her time, until she herself reached the level of master.

"A working artist today, Glusha's illustrations can be seen in the 2007 children's book 'P.T.'s Big Surprise.' In addition to designing [pet memorial art for Peternity, she continues to privately teach students with extraordinary results," said Colleen Mihelich, founder of Peternity.com.
