Dynamic Learning Online, Inc. is responding to the needs of rehabilitation therapists by offering opportunities for continuing education over the lunch hour in the form of live audio conferences. The first of these conferences was presented recently by the newest addition to the Dynamic team of instructors, Kate Brewer, PT, MBA, GCS. Brewer, a nationally recognized author and expert in reimbursement, has signed on to develop a series of audio conferences, a first for the e-learning company, as well as a ten-part rehabilitation documentation series due to be released in the fall.
Brewer, President and Owner of Progressive Rehab Solutions, Vice-President of Greenfield Rehabilitation Agency and veteran healthcare professional, was chosen as the presenter of Dynamic's premiere audio conference: Preventing Denials through a Successful QA Program for Documentation. This audio conference provided information for those seeking time sensitive information on preventing reimbursement denials using successful quality assurance tools, as well as an introduction to the ten-part mini-series Brewer will develop to add to Dynamic's extensive online library. Participating students were eligible to receive professional contact hours for continuing education.
The audio conference consisted of a one-hour long slide presentation, made available to for download to registered students on the Dynamic Learning Online website. At the close of the presentation, Brewer held a 30-minute question and answer session to discuss documentation requirements under Medicare B, quality assurance, and coding. A recording of the live audio conference in now available as a course in Dynamic's online Course Library.
This was the first of four audio conferences Dynamic will present in 2008. Brewer's full ten-part course series, entitled Documentation Essentials for Successful Billing and Reimbursement for Rehabilitation Services, will be available to students on the Dynamic Learning Online, Inc. website in the fall of 2008.
