Auburn Engineering Supplier to American LaFrance's Eagle® Fire Truck Program

Rochester Hills, Mich. (PRWEB) June 18, 2008 -- Auburn Engineering, Inc., leading provider of rapid prototyping and production services, announces it is a key supplier to the Eagle Fire Truck manufactured by American LaFrance, LLC.

Auburn Engineering supplies engine, exterior and interior components for the production emergency vehicle, collaborating with casting and machining suppliers for ductile iron castings, cab tilt hinges, and the engine trunnion component. In addition, Auburn Engineering processes aluminum castings for the interior instrument panel at Auburn's Chesterfield, Mich. foundry operations.

For injection molded components, Auburn Engineering provides molding and assembly operations for the vehicle's interior door panels, under the hood Auburn supplies the injection molded radiator air scoop required to help fire the Cummins diesel power plant that drives the Eagle.
