Paraxip Technologies Announces NetBorder™ Suite Version 1.5

New release of NetBorder further facilitates the progressive deployment and improves the cost effectiveness of IP telephony solutions in the contact center and the enterprise.

Paraxip Technologies announces release 1.5 of its NetBorder product suite, delivering further innovations that enable the seamless connectivity of SIP platforms and applications to external devices and networks. The NetBorder Suite is a unique software solution based on off-the-shelf hardware components that delivers smart connectivity to IP-based communication applications such as contact centers, IP-PBX, Interactive Voice Response and more. The suite is designed to provide seamless integration of these applications to legacy networks and equipment, to SIP trunking networks and to other third party SIP end-points, all with a pure software, pay-for-what-you-use, licensing model.

The release 1.5 of the product suite introduces multiple enhancements including:

  • NetBorder Agent Bridge enhancements -- The Agent Bridge enables remote locations behind legacy PBX's or home-based agents using regular landline phones to appear as SIP agents inside the IP Contact Center. This solution brings the immediate benefits of virtualization and infrastructure consolidation, but without the requirement to deploy IP endpoints all the way to the far edges. The solution delivers the savings of open-standards IP telephony, but without the worries of quality of service or the IP phone roll-out costs. This release of the NetBorder Agent Bridge is enhanced with agent login and authentication capabilities, as well as talk and hold features that can be controlled from a desktop client.
  • NetBorder Call Analyzer performance improvements -- Paraxip's statistical models for Call Progress Analysis have been updated with data from thousands of live outbound calls, from sites all over the world, leading to unmatched accuracy and response time in call classification. The result significantly widens the performance gap between NetBorder and traditional call progress technologies, leading to a more effective utilization of agents and to reduced call drop rates for automated outbound applications.
  • NetBorder TDM Gateway -- This release adds support for the NFAS protocol for the traditional telephony interface of NetBorder, leading to reduced telecom costs for customers seeking high density deployments.
  • NetBorder SIP Router -- This new application-level component integrates tightly with the rest of the NetBorder Suite to provide SIP load balancing and failover routing. IP Telephony solutions can now reduce their dependency on costly or poorly integrated external components such as proxies or soft-switches to deliver high-availability architectures.
