NEXT Group LLC announces the 2008 N.E.X.T. Road Trip Rally, a road trip and competition that will take its participants across nine states and over 1,400 miles in the North Eastern United States for five nights of parties, music and friends - all while competing for the Grand Prize of at $25,000. NEXT Group has partnered with CarbonFund.org to offset 200% of the carbon emissions created during the trip, and has committed to helping raise awareness about the many ways to balance the American lifestyle more closely with the environment.

NEXT Group's donation will help to hasten the transition to a clean energy future, bringing us closer to the day when every roadtrip can be truly environmentally-friendly.

The NEXT Group announced today that it is offsetting its carbon emissions with Carbonfund.org (http://carbonfund.org/), one of the country's leading carbon offset organizations. NEXT Group, LLC has committed to offset twice as much carbon as will be emitted by the vehicles in the NEXT Road Trip Rally (http://www.NEXTroadtriprally.com) this September. This commitment establishes NEXT Group, LLC as an environmental leader in the travel community and demonstrates the proactive steps NEXT is taking in the fight against global climate change.

NEXT Group's organizers are concerned (as Americans increasingly are) about global warming. Considering the implications of climate change, carbon offsets through Carbonfund.org are a natural extension of the work NEXT Group, LLC does on behalf of its stakeholders.

NEXT Group, LLC is partnering with Carbonfund.org during this event to help raise awareness about the importance of offsetting the impact we all have on the environment as travelers, consumers, and vacationers. It hopes to encourage the public to help fund organizations that help to protect and revitalize our natural resources, and help to diminish wasteful fuel consumption. By competing in the NEXT Road Trip Rally, anyone looking to go on a fun vacation road trip can take the first step towards offsetting their personal impact on the environment. NEXT Group, LLC has not only promised to offset the amount of each participant's footprint, but to purchase offsets equal to 200% of the event's carbon footprint.

"We recognize the importance road trips have long had on the American landscape and feel we can play a crucial role in the continuing evolution of automotive recreation by educating drivers and vacationers about how they can balance the lifestyle to which they're accustomed with environmental stewardship. We plan to lead by example by engaging people in a long-loved past time while stressing awareness of individual and corporate environmental impact," Aaron Lax, Event Coordinator.

"NEXT Group's Road Trip Rally, like many events, is a source of carbon emissions, and by partnering with Carbonfund.org to offset those emissions they are balancing environmental concerns and lifestyle," said Eric Carlson, Executive Director of Carbonfund.org. "NEXT Group's donation will help to hasten the transition to a clean energy future, bringing us closer to the day when every roadtrip can be truly environmentally-friendly."
