Commercial Real Estate Firm Featured in Miami Newspaper

Local, South Florida Transwestern office makes pages of Miami Today.

Miami, FL (PRWEB) June 19, 2008 -- Transwestern, a national commercial real estate firm with a strong presence in South Florida, was recently featured in Miami Today, a newspaper that serves the business and civic communities of Miami, Florida. The article, published for the week of March 27, 2008, notes that Transwestern South Florida is the leasing agent for Two Brickell Way, the Brickell area's most recently announced office project.

Darryl Robinson, part of the team at Transwestern South Florida, says that there is a great deal of interest in the project. The 150,000 square foot office building is part of Off Brickell, a mixed-use project of Taylor Development and Land Co. and Economic Properties. In addition to office space, it also contains 86,000 square feet of retail space, including a 37,000 square foot Epicure Market and restaurant, and a 213 room Hilton Garden Inn. An on-site fitness center is also in the works.

Mr. Robinson notes that the project will be breaking ground in June, and will be open in the first quarter of 2010. According to Transwestern's Pete Harrison, potential tenants include "executive suite operators and general office users, some of whom are existing Brickwell tenants with substantial expansions, and law firms who are getting nervous about $50 rates."

Close to both the MetroMover and the MetroRail, Two Brickell Way is out of the congestion on Brickell with easy access to I-95, Brickell and downtown. Robinson and Harrison told Miami Today the Two Brickell way will fill a much needed niche in the Brickell area, integrating hospitality with retail and office. "The hotel component is a huge plus," Mr. Harrison said. Office tenants loved the hotel component at Brickell's Four Seasons, he said, which was leased up by the same Transwestern team.

In South Florida, Transwestern operates under the direction of Walter Byrd and Ben Eisenberg. Their office is located on Brickell Key in Miami's Brickell Financial District. Currently, Transwestern has approximately 40 employees in Florida and oversees a third-party property portfolio totaling more than 6.2 million square feet.
