Automation Alley's Global Trade Mission: Phase Two Participants in GTM Take the Next Step and Become Interns

Outstanding Students in Automation Alley Global Trade Mission Participate in Real-Life Experience and Take on Business Planning with DASI Solutions and Visual Components

Pontiac, MI (PRWEB) June 20, 2008 -- In March 2008, high school students from Oakland and Macomb counties came together to investigate global trade and the international market of today's world. This was Phase One of the Global Trade Mission (GTM), hosted by Automation Alley. Automation Alley is a non-profit organization in which companies collaborate together to focus on the workforce and business development in Southeastern Michigan. Phase Two is being offered by an engineering software marketing company and sponsor of Global Trade Mission, DASI Solutions. DASI Solutions was founded in 1995 and assists various companies in the implementation of CAD, CAE, and PDM collaborative technologies, such as SolidWorks, used in the product development process.

For Phase Two of GTM, DASI Solutions is leveraging the skill and insight of five interns, from four different schools across Macomb and Oakland counties. The interns have gone through the various exercises and seminars of the GTM experience. Their task includes creating a business plan to market a foreign product in the southeastern Michigan market. The product being marketed is a leading-edge software called 3DCreate produced by the Finnish company Visual Components. It is used to simulate factory floor plans while utilizing a user friendly interface. On June 26, 2008, Visual Components and DASI Solutions will host an informational conference about 3DCreate to interested manufacturing/engineering companies.

"We are thrilled to be given this opportunity to represent DASI Solutions and to be a part of the decision making process in DASI's business future."
-Killian Smith, DASI Solutions Intern

Mikko Urho, the Sales Director of Visual Components will be visiting the United States from June 24th through June 26th to meet with the interns and then present his product at the event held at the headquarters of Automation Alley in Troy, MI, on June 26th.
