(PRWEB) June 21, 2008 -- Auldern Academy, a member of the Three Spring's family, in Siler City, North Carolina recently held a graduation ceremony for 7 graduating seniors. Graduation was planned to be held on a misty day on Auldern's campus but when the rain began, was quickly switched to the Alston Chapel. A reception was later held on campus for the families, friends and students.

As the ceremony began, the girls entered the chapel with the sound of bagpipes in the background. The processional continued down the aisle as two students played Canon in D major.

Sharon Laney, COO of Three Springs (http://www.threesprings.com) was the keynote speaker, "In 2001, I had a vision for the school that would become Auldern Academy (http://www.auldern.com). Just as the young women who are graduating have changed, so has the school as a whole. The growth we've experienced in the past two years is certainly a dream come true."

One graduating senior who received her diploma, had spent her entire high school career at Auldern Academy. Another student spoke about how the school had helped her to accomplish more than she had imagined was possible, "I was a year and a half behind. The staff worked with me to help me get to where I am today. I'm graduating!" The student also received scholarship money in recognition of overcoming the obstacles that stood between her and graduation. All 7 graduates have been accepted at their colleges of choice and will continue their educations in the fall.

According to Jane Samuel, Head of School, "It is such a rewarding pleasure to watch the tears of joy in parent's eyes as their daughter walks across the stage to receive a diploma. For parents, it is a beautiful exclamation point at the end of an 18 year journey."
