Stamford, CT (PRWEB) June 23, 2008
Stamford dog owners who take frequent vacations and work long days now have an alternative to shutting their pup in a kennel all day: Camp Bow Wow! Camp Bow Wow strives to provide a fun, safe and upscale environment for dogs to play, romp and receive lots of love and attention! Lonely howls will no longer be heard from the pups of Connecticut with Camp Bow Wow's recent opening.
Stamford residents were introduced to the alternative in traditional kenneling by John and Gladys Caro in May 2008. Come celebrate with Camp Bow Wow at their Grand Opening Event on Saturday, June 28th. The event will be held campsite at 581 Hope Street in Stamford at the intersection of Hope Street and Viaduct from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm. Prizes, food, radio personalities, vendors will all be present at this exciting event.
"The doggie campers at Camp Bow Wow enjoy all-day play," said John Caro, when asked what makes his service special. "That's different from most other dog-care facilities," he added. "Traditional kennels give dogs 15 minutes of play time in the morning and 15 minutes in the afternoon. The rest of the day, the dogs are isolated in kennels." At Camp Bow Wow the pups romp around the 9,250 square feet area of indoor play and 1,950 square feet of outdoor play. Camp Bow Wow strives to provide an environment that is as clean and safe as possible for campers. All campers must be spayed or neutered, current on Rabies, Distemper and Bordatella (for Canine Cough). Campers are served their very own food during their stay to avoid upset tummies, and special requests, from medicines, extra treats, or care for older pups are provided with no extra cost! All staff members are trained in first aid and dog training to ensure your pup has a safe stay.
"Before campers can enroll they go through an interview process to make sure they are sociable and able to play with others" Caro said. Camp Bow Wow Certified Camp CounselorsSM are all trained in dog behavior and a counselor is constantly supervising the "campers" at play.
Absent owners can manage their guilt or pup withdrawal by tuning in to the facility's online Camper Cams® which records camper activity in the play and lounge areas. The cameras are tuned in 24 hours a day and those dog owners who travel frequently find this feature quite addicting.
Camp Bow Wow's day-care services start at $35 per day. Overnights start at $45. Multi-day packages are available and they also offer free pickup service for any 7+ day boarding stay. Don't forget to have your pup groomed while away at camp, starting at $30.
Please join us on Saturday, June 28th from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm to celebrate Stamford's new business and meet friends in the neighborhood. Be sure to bring your kids, cameras and of course dogs to this all day event!
