Semi-Finalists in The SDP Third Annual Decorating Contest

The Society of Decorating Professionals announces the top Decorators in the areas of Interior Redesign, Home Staging, Color with No Regrets, Accessorizing, and Decorating. Winners will be announced at the Third Annual Educational Conference in Chandler, AZ. Keynote speaker is Mary Carol Garrity of Nell Hills in Atchison and Kansas City, KS. Terri Bowersock of Terri's Consignment will be addressing the attendees on "Building your Successful Business... while living with Dyslexia and Other Challenges."

Chicago, IL (PRWEB) June 20, 2008 -- Kristine Porter, Executive Director is pleased to announce that The Society of Decorating Professionals (The SDP) has named the semi-finalists of its Annual Decorating Photo Contest. Held in conjunction with The SDP Annual Conference, the goal of the contest is to recognize the high quality of work that members perform while making a difference in their clients' homes.

Photos are judged in two divisions: The SDP Members and The SDP Trainers, and five categories: Redesign, Staging, Color, Accessorizing and Decorating (budget of over $300). A committee including the Board of Directors served as judges, reviewing the myriad sets of before and after photos submitted. The semi-finalists in each category are:

The winner of each category will be chosen by the membership in attendance at The SDP's Annual Education Conference to be held August 6-8, 2008 at The Wild Horse Pass Resort in Chandler, Arizona.

The SDP Annual Education Conference is open to both members and non-members who want to expand their knowledge of the decorating industry. Keynote speakers Mary Carol Garrity, author of six books and owner of three retail stores: Nell Hill's, Garrity's and Nell Hills' at Briarcliff Village and entrepreneur and author Terri Bowersock of Terri's Consign and Design are sure to delight and motivate. Specialists in the field of interior redesign, real estate staging and other decorating specialties will offer breakout sessions in their areas of expertise.
