The new innovative Artisan™ Series vinyl windows feature breakthrough vinyl color technology. The window line has a unique beveled-design with equal sight lines and one of the industry's first new magnetic-action lock.

We specifically designed peace-of-mind features into the lock and manufacturing process which resonate with homeowners.

AMSCO Windows introduced the new innovative Artisan™ Series vinyl window at PCBC® 2008 June 25-27, in San Francisco.

The Artisan Series creates a beautiful appearance by combining unique design with energy efficiency. Featuring a unique beveled-in profile, innovative hidden accessory grooves, breakthrough color technology and one of the industry's first magnetic action lock, the Artisan Series is specifically designed to make your home a masterpiece.

The breakthrough technology of the Artisan Series provides additional color options far superior to paint. Through a proprietary process, the SuperCapSR® technology creates a molecularly-fused color layer that becomes integral to the vinyl profile.

"We designed the new Artisan Series window specifically for upper-end new construction and remodel and retrofit markets," said Steve Sullivan, director of marketing for AMSCO. "We found that homeowners are looking for aesthetics that go beyond flat white rectangles. The unique beveled-in design and new exterior color options add architectural interest to the windows, which home owners desire."

The integral color layer is highly scratch-resistant resulting in fewer callbacks. Tested in the harsh southwest climate, it provides superior infrared heat-reflective performance preventing profile heat build-up distortion. The color cap is highly durable, fade resistant and won't crack, chip, flake or chalk like paint.

The Artisan Series is available in mono colors white, almond and taupe plus the new exterior colors autumn red, evergreen and bronze with a white interior.

"Our research has shown that consumers are looking for more color choices in a vinyl window," said Kyle Hendren, product marketing manager for AMSCO. "We've spent more than a year developing and testing the new product and the SuperCapSR technology provides the Artisan Series with the best, durable two-tone color option on the market today."

In addition to the added colors, a new lock is part of the Artisan Series. The sleek profile of the SentryLock offers an easy one touch, push-button operation that utilizes magnets in its self-locking operation. The SentryLock is one of the industry's first self-latching locks on the market to use this magnetic-action technology.

"Security was an important part of the design for the lock," said Sullivan. "We specifically designed peace-of-mind features into the lock and manufacturing process which resonate with homeowners."

With the lock on the face of the sash, would-be intruders are not able to see if the lock is in the open position or not. An unlocked visual indicator allows the homeowner to know the window is unlocked from a distance - an important benefit carried over from our previous lock. Finally, when the sash is fully closed, an audible click is heard when the lock self-engages.

The new Artisan Series with standard CōzE performance glass is available in many styles, colors and options for both new construction and remodeling projects. Visit the Artisan Series web site at http://www.amscowindows.com/artisanseries.asp to learn more about the new window line.
