As we are all well aware, the prices of heating oil has skyrocketed with no end in sight. The creators of HOFTA.net devised an idea: how to make it easier on building owners to deal with this dilemma.
HOFTA, an acronym for Heating Oil Fair Trade Association, was created to form a fair market place where heating oil suppliers and heating oil buyers can exchange information as to available oil and price.
With a few clicks, heating oil at the lowest price can be purchased. HOFTA gathers information from oil companies and posts their prices on their website, http://www.hofta.net. Then the consumer can purchase the cheapest oil for the day. The web site accepts all major credit cards and e-checks.
A young entrepreneur, an owner of property on the East Coast, designed the website. When it became a daily hassle for Joe Chajmovicz to find the best prices of the day for heating oil, he enlisted his childhood friend Mendel Meisels, a computer programmer, to create a program that will be able alleviate the hassle. Together they worked on this website and searched for oil companies that are willing to work in conjunction with them to create this a fair market.
Starting July 1st oil buyers will able to log on with a monthly member ship fee to purchase oil for their buildings. Joe says that thru the Hofta website one should able to save a minimum of 5-10 % off the average oil delivery.
Also on their web site, one can get quotes for gas, cheaper than the major utility company's, and services for boilers like monitoring systems, repair treatment, and cleaning.
