Horsham PA, an R&D company specializing in biomaterials coatings for medical devices. Biocoat manufactures and licenses coatings based on hyaluronan, a naturally occurring biopolymer found in all human tissue, to medical device companies. Simon's responsibilities will be sales and marketing of Biocoat's Coatings Technologies business.
Simon comes to Biocoat from Biomet, Inc. where he had held several positions including Research Scientist and most recently Technology Manager for the company's Osteobiologics products. He is a graduate of the University of Phoenix and Rutgers University and holds BS, MS, MBA and Ph.D. degrees in Chemical Engineering, General Business and Biomedical Engineering.
