Founded in 2007, The Diamond Empowerment Fund™ (D.E.F.) is a non-profit international organization with the mission to raise money to support education initiatives that develop and empower economically disadvantaged people in African nations where diamonds are a natural resource.

The Simmons Jewelry "Green Bracelet" is the symbol of the Diamond Empowerment Fund. It is made of a conflict-free rough diamond and malachite, resources native to the African continent. 50 percent of the net profits from the sale of the "Green Bracelet" go directly to support educational programs in Africa.
