Sex and the City star Kim Cattrall carries designer Rebecca Minkoff's "Market Tote" in Sex and the City: The Movie (in theaters now).
New York, NY (PRWEB) June 25, 2008 -- Cattrall's character, Samantha Jones, carries the Market tote in a scene where the girls travel to Mexico.
Hand-picked by stylist Patricia Field, who styled the show as well as the movie, the bag's cameo is an exciting new note to an already established career.
With celebrity fans such as Hilary Duff, Bijou Phillips, Nicole Richie, Lindsay Lohan, Debra Messing, and Sarah Jessica Parker in her corner, this 27 year-old has made her mark in the fashion scene.
Designing since 2001, Rebecca Minkoff is known for her "it" bags. With a modern-vintage feel, the line is laid back enough for the San Diego girl (where Minkoff is from), yet perfect for the downtown New Yorker, with simple but sexy accents.
The bags have made their way into such stores as Saks Fifth Avenue, Nordstrom, Bloomingdale's, Neiman Marcus, Henri Bendel, and Shopbop.com.
Minkoff's purses are also carried in over 200 boutiques domestically, as well as in foreign installations in Japan, France, Russia, and Canada.
The tote in the film is a custom-made yellow/silver combination.
The solid yellow Market tote will make its debut on the Rebecca Minkoff site this month, as will Noir (black) and Sea Green versions.
The Market bag is roomy and features outside pockets for storage. The front pocket is large enough for phones and PDAs.
A notable designer, Minkoff plans to venture back into clothing and shoes in upcoming seasons.
