Denver, CO (PRWEB) June 26, 2008
Swisslog will highlight the latest innovations in Pneumatic Tube System speed and safety at the American Society for Healthcare Engineers (ASHE) Annual Conference, July 20-23, 2008. Visitors to booth #922 will have the opportunity to learn about Swisslog's latest version of Pneumatic Tube System software, TL 2007.
TL 2007 offers several safety and speed enhancements including Secure PIN Send, Secure Return, new Station Access Doors and revolutionary Variable Speed technology. With Secure PIN Send and Secure Return, unique Personal Identification Numbers (PIN) can be assigned to transactions, enabling hospitals to track both the sender and recipient of each carrier. Transactions that are not retrieved within a set period of time are automatically returned to the source station.
In addition, Swisslog's new Station Access Doors limit access to the station through the use of electro-magnetic locking technology. The Station Access Door releases the lock only after a valid PIN is entered into the keypad, ensuring only authorized personnel can access the station. Swisslog Station Access Doors are available for TransLogic and non-TransLogic pneumatic tube systems.
Variable Speed technology was developed in response to the healthcare industry's unique material transport needs. Variable Speed allows sensitive items to be sent at a slower speed for gentler handling, while empty carriers can be sent at faster speeds to ensure optimal system performance.
