Ocean Systems Wins Department of Homeland Security CEDAP Grant

Company's dTective® System Selected as Forensic Video and Image Clarification Equipment Provider

Burtonsville, MD (PRWEB) June 24, 2008 -- Ocean Systems, the market-leading provider of forensic video analysis and clarification solutions, has been awarded a 2008 Commercial Equipment Direct Assistance Program (CEDAP) grant to provide forensic video and image clarification systems to local public service agencies across the country. The grant is funded through the FEMA National Preparedness Directorate, U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

CEDAP is a highly competitive program that works in conjunction with other DHS grant programs to enhance regional response capabilities, mutual aid, and interoperable communications. The CEDAP grant provides technology and equipment, together with the training and technical assistance required to operate the dTective® equipment, to public safety agencies in smaller jurisdictions and certain metropolitan areas.

Agencies interested in acquiring this equipment should register with the Responder Knowledge Base (RKB) at https://www.rkb.us/ and complete the online application by June 30, 2008, at 5 p.m. EDT.
