InstantAmber has made Parental Consent for Medical Treatment Forms available for free on their website. Parents can download them in PDF and Microsoft Word format.
If a child has an accident or gets sick while under the supervision of a babysitter, that child may not be able to receive medical care. Most hospitals and emergency care centers will not treat a child without written consent from a parent.
The easiest way for a parent to grant consent to a caretaker or babysitter is by signing a parental consent form. This form is not only required for caretakers, it is also required for close friends and family, including grandparents.
Mathieu Berman, the founder of InstantAmber, said, "Our main concern is keeping children safe. We're hoping that by providing free resources, like providing this parental consent form, it will help parents keep their children even safer." Berman also stated that they planned to roll out more free resources for parents in the near future.
InstantAmber is a new online service for parents that assists law enforcement in quickly finding children when they go missing or are abducted.
