Cosmetic-plastic-surgery.info Publishes Study Aimed at Health Tourism in Cosmetic Plastic Surgery in the Czech Republic in 2006/2007

www.cosmetic-plastic-surgery.info has published a unique study aimed at gathering information on health tourism and Czech cosmetic plastic surgery.

Prague, Czech Republic (PRWEB) June 28, 2008 -- www.cosmetic-plastic-surgery.info has published a unique study aimed at gathering information on health tourism and Czech cosmetic plastic surgery. The study concentrates on an evaluation of risks connected with having a surgery abroad as well as the layout of requested procedures and countries of origin of clients.

The main goal of the study was to map the current situation in the field of cosmetic plastic surgery in the Czech Republic in 2006/2007. The second goal was to look into the world of health tourism in the context of Czech plastic surgery. The results reflect not only the quantitative layout but also the quality of care offered in the Czech Republic.

"We wanted to clarify the environment of Czech aesthetic surgery to the general public and to assist people when choosing the most suitable surgeon or clinic," says Pavel Hilbert, Hilcom's executive manager. "Another goal was to define the riskiest approaches to having a cosmetic plastic surgery abroad." Hilbert added. As for the benefit to the medical community, this study reflects a wide range of possible views on current issues of cosmetic plastic surgery, identifies some system deficiencies and tries to instigate solutions. Annual comparison of the number of clients in 2006/2007 was another partial goal of the study.

The research team conducted the study over three months, from March to May 2008. Forty-five certified plastic surgeons from all over the Czech Republic contributed to the research. Conducted and published in the Czech Republic, this study is the first of its kind.

The study also contains a number of accompanying interviews aimed towards clarifying the data which, when expressed only on a numerical scale, offers a vague analysis. www.cosmetic-plastic-surgery.info provides information about cosmetic plastic surgery and presents it to the general public in Czech, English, German and Russian with a special focus on Czech cosmetic plastic surgery. The web portal has been operating since September 2006.
