Camp Bow Wow® Bentonville swings open its Doggy Doors - set up a free interview for your pup today.

Tails began wagging on June 30th when the first Camp Bow Wow® in Arkansas opened for business. Dogs and their two-legged guardians are invited to visit the premiere doggy day care and overnight boarding camp located at 1403 S.W. 14th Street, Bentonville, near the intersection of HWY 102 and SW Mayflower Rd. Pups are invited to come in and experience an entirely new concept in doggy day and overnight care.

Camp Bow Wow® has a lot to offer to their furry friends. It has an upscale environment for dogs to play, romp and receive lots of love and attention. Camp Bow Wow® Bentonville is a state of the art facility that offers many amenities to make sure the pups enjoy their stay. Only at Camp Bow Wow in every nook and cranny of the camp, there are live Camper Cams® installed so owners can watch their beloved pooches play all day. Certified Camp CounselorsSM are always present and Camp Bow Wow® has a 24 hour monitoring system to ensure all the campers are safe. The camp has 5 large outdoor play areas featuring shaded huts and pup pools, even an extended roof so the pups can potty outside when it's raining without getting wet! Connected to the outdoor play yards, there are 5 indoor spacious climate controlled play areas plus a small dog or old dog lounge. Other amenities include spacious overnight cabins equipped with comfy cots and fleece blankets.

This doggy day care is just different. For one thing, there's the all day play. Instead of spending most of the day in a cage, with minimal walks and play time, dogs that visit Camp Bow Wow® enjoy most of their time (whether it's for day camp or boarding) playing in one of the five large indoor/outdoor play areas. "During the day, campers spend most of their time outdoors playing with their four-legged friends," said Marketing Director, Linda Kosecki. At Camp Bow Wow® Bentonville, day campers find themselves tired out by the end of the day when their guardians come to pick them up. The guests who stay overnight are given a tasty Campfire treat just before being tucked into their own private and spacious cabin.

Another unique quality of the camp is that there are Certified Camp CounselorsSM who are required to monitor the pooches all day and to adhere to the strict camper to counselor ratio for the safety of dogs. The counselors are trained in dog behavior, safety and health management. They are also CPR and First aid trained. Camp Bow Wow® knows how dogs play and interact, so they keep all sizes and types of pups very yappy! As an additional safety measure, the camp keeps large and small doggies in separate play areas.

Jeff and Linda Kosecki became passionate about Camp Bow Wow® when looking for quality care for their pup, Rio. With Linda traveling half way around the world to China she wanted to find somewhere she could leave Rio and be assured of her safety and that Rio was having fun. Linda loved the camper cams because she could check up on Rio from wherever she pleased. While Rio visited Camp Bow Wow® locations in San Antonio, Oklahoma City, and Springfield, MO, Jeff and Linda saw how much Rio liked to socialize with other dogs, which is why Camp Bow Wow® has been perfect for Rio. With the combination of Jeff's love for dogs and Linda's need for quality care, they knew Camp Bow Wow® was the right business venture for them.

As well as being committed to the dogs, Camp Bow Wow® upholds a strong commitment to the environment. Camp Bow Wow® has invested in a Spray Master Technology water cleaning system that reduces the gallons of water released per second by 70%, it also measures the exact amount of environmentally friendly cleaning agents required for sanitizing. Camp Bow Wow® will only be using "Spartan" sanitizers, which are pet and environment friendly. Energy efficient windows have been installed throughout, "we are increasing natural light in our camp to save energy," said Linda. In addition, there will be a plastic recycle station at Camp Bow Wow for collecting soda and water bottles.

There are a few requirements to be a camper and it all starts with the free interview day. The interview is a meet and greet with dogs of similar size and temperament and both Jeff and Linda advise owners to leave their pooches for the full day. "Basically, it's a free day of camp and we get to know our future guests on a first name basis," said Jeff. Campers must be neutered or spayed if over 6-months old, up to date on rabies, distemper, and Bordetella vaccinations, and in good general health.

Camp Bow Wow® Bentonville will be hosting a "Very Important Pooch" event on July 10th 2008 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. This is the perfect opportunity for local businesses owners and invited guests to meet the staff, take a tour of the camp and enjoy some wine and cheese. Bentonville's Mayor, Bob McCaslin, will be attending this event and will cut the ribbon at 5:00 pm to kick off business at the exciting new Camp Bow Wow®.
