North American Distribution Deal Positions Startup Label to Reach the Masses

This is going to be a huge record for Silent Fate

Independent label MEI Records has just announced their entrance into a contract with international entertainment distributor Nightmare Records and Distribution. According to the agreement, all MEI artists will receive physical distribution to major markets within the U.S., Canada and Mexico with digital distribution worldwide.

MEI expects their first release, Silent Fate's "Burned, Buried and Forgotten," to go on pre-sale August 8th.

"This is going to be a huge record for Silent Fate," said John Foxworthy, Director of Media Relations, "Right now metal is on an upward trend and this deal is going to solidify our belief that hard work and persistence really do pay off."

The company is founded and staffed by experienced professionals from all facets of music industry and most services will be kept in-house, including recording, Management, Marketing, A&R and Press Relations.

"Outsourcing takes control away from a label's ability to focus on true artist development. We believe that today's labels don't put enough time into this, the most important aspect of marketing their product," said Anthony Paganini, Founder and CEO of MEI, "We don't want to recycle the same stuff you already hear on the radio all day, so we're going to be picky about the artists we choose to sign. One thing I can guarantee is that the quality and originality of our artists will change the independent music is received by the industry as a whole."

MEI Records is currently developing two up-and-coming metal acts, Silent Fate and Beneath A Blackened Sky. MEI is not your "business as usual" company. Everyone involved in the company has earned their position through hard work as either an artist or as a professional in their field. The label is not focused on the current "trends" or "standard practices" that other companies follow; instead, as an independent entity content with choosing and marketing the music that has the highest potential to benefit both artist and label.
