Boca Raton, Florida (PRWEB) June 3, 2008
A new Web site designed to help consumers find homes in Florida's Palm Beaches and Treasure Coast region has been launched by Regional MLS of Florida (RMLS). HomeToFlorida.com is the official Web site of REALTORS® in Florida's Palm Beaches and Treasure Coast. The site currently has more than 40,000 local real estate listings, as well as agent profiles to help buyers and sellers find qualified real estate professionals. The HomeToFlorida Web site was created for RMLS by eNeighborhoods, LLC, a division of Dominion Enterprises, based in Boca Raton, FL.
In the past, there has been some debate in the real estate industry over making multiple listing service data available directly to the public, but recent research has shown that public MLS Web sites are gaining favor with both consumers and real estate professionals. The listings are updated directly from the MLS to the HomeToFlorida Web site six times each day. Consumers appreciate the ability to research local homes and learn more about local REALTORS® before choosing the agent they want to work with.
"It's always great to be involved in a project that benefits both consumers and real estate industry professionals," said Andy Woolley, vice president, enterprise services at eNeighborhoods. "Buyers and sellers will have a valuable resource to search properties and find qualified real estate professionals. The more than 13,000 REALTORS in the Palm Beaches and Treasure Coast region also get a valuable business-building tool and more visibility for their property listings. There are now several public MLS sites around the nation and homebuyers seem to appreciate the convenience of a targeted search for local properties."
"Our goal is to ensure that Regional MLS members have the best real estate marketing technology available," said Patty Connor, CEO of Regional MLS. "The Palm Beaches and Treasure Coast region has some of the finest properties in the world. There is no place like this area, so it's fitting that we have our own unique destination on the Web for local buyers, sellers and REALTORs®."
HomeToFlorida.com is the first implementation of MLSPortal™, a new service introduced by eNeighborhoods. MLSPortal was created using the same technology platform currently powering the listing and lead management system for remax.com.
