Poker pro looks to shatter the record he set nearly one year ago.

Phil Hellmuth is on his way to Vegas in search of something much more valuable than a hefty payday at the poker tables. The UltimateBet pro is headed to this year's World Series of Poker* to capture his 12th bracelet and shatter the record he set nearly one year ago.

On June 11th, 2007, Hellmuth excited poker fans and stunned foes when he won his record-breaking 11th WSOP* bracelet after finishing first in a $1,500 No Limit Hold'em event in Las Vegas. Hellmuth had been tied with Johnny Chan and Doyle Brunson for the top spot at 10 bracelets apiece.

In addition to his seemingly untouchable bracelet record, Hellmuth is also the youngest poker player to ever win the Main Event in Vegas and he holds the record for most cashes at 63.

Poker fans all over the globe will be watching closely to see if Hellmuth can top his own milestone year of 2007. In addition to his 11th bracelet win, the UltimateBet poker champion was also inducted into the Poker Hall of Fame, solidifying his position in poker history as legendary.

Updates on Phil Hellmuth's performance in Vegas can be found on UltimateBet's blog.
