Parts Town Receives Business Marketing Association Pro-Comm Award for "Best of Division" Logo Design

Parts Town, a leading provider of food equipment replacement parts and accessory products, received the Business Marketing Association (BMA) Pro-Comm "Best of Division" award for b-to-b logo design.

Lombard, IL (PRWEB) June 4, 2008 -- The award, presented to Parts Town's agency of record, Slack Barshinger, is among the most prestigious business-to-business communications awards in the world. This annually held event attracts nearly 950 entries each year which are judged by top agency executives and communications directors from across the United States. This year, the newly redesigned Parts Town's logo, featuring the tagline Your Order's Always Up, received recognition from the judges as the best b-to-b logo in the country.

The new logo was designed by the Slack Barshinger creative team who sought to capture Parts Town's commitment to excellent service, same-day delivery and an overall customer-oriented approach to business. After narrowing logo designs from fifteen down to one, the team selected a Dallas-based illustrator to put the finishing touches on the design.
"The toughest thing in the world to do is create a logo," said Don Harder, art director at Slack Barshinger. "Especially with a client like Parts Town--you have so much to convey in such a small piece. With our final design, all of the elements worked so well together."

"At Parts Town, our main focus is satisfying our customers through outstanding, customized service, an unbeatable stock of OEM parts, and rapid product delivery," said Steve Snower, president of Parts Town. "This logo fits our brand perfectly because it incorporates every aspect and function of our company into one unique, innovative design. Winning an award for it is the icing on the cake."

For over 20 years, Parts Town has been providing its customers with a one-of-a-kind service experience. Customers can look forward to being greeted by a familiar voice when a designated "Director of First Impressions" answers every call within two rings from 8 am to 7 pm Eastern time every day.

In addition to ordering via phone, customers have the option of placing parts orders online or via fax. The Parts Town Web site offers access to search and purchase over 400,000 parts (200,000 more than their closest competitor) with zero clicks from the home page. Full equipment manuals are available on the site as well.

Beyond sound customer service, Parts Town believes that satisfied, friendly employees are a key part of the company's success. As a result of this belief, the Parts Town customer experience team, which employs over 35 people, has experienced virtually no turnover in the last three years.

Parts Town, founded in 1987, is a leading distributor of restaurant equipment parts, accessories and related products for commercial kitchens. Parts Town is headquartered in Lombard, Ill. For more information, visit www.partstown.com.
