Seattle, WA (PRWEB) June 5, 2008 -- Local events discovery website CultureMob.com announced today they have expanded their event listings service to include the greater Boston, Phoenix, and San Diego markets.

The slick website has also added new features including a newsfeed on each city's home page as well as a JavaScript calendar widget which can be customized with pictures, descriptions, and show times according to personal preference. CultureMob.com keeps the information up-to-date with current event information and original content; to check out the feature head to http://culturemob.com/venues/89/widgets/calendar for a look at the set-up of the JavaScript calendar for Neumos, a hot rock and roll Seattle venue.

In addition to the new JavaScript calendar and newsfeed, CultureMob.com boasts several exciting Web 2.0 features such as a Facebook application, RSS feeds, iCal, and Widgetbox widgets for Myspace, Blogger, Typepad, Wordpress, and many more.

These features make it easy for people to discover, promote and share local events via CultureMob.com. Users learn about interesting new events using CultureMob's personalized recommendations (based on their iTunes playlists, Netflix list, and other sources), rich content including photos, videos, previews, and reviews in addition to easy-to-use navigation.

CultureMob.com also provides several tools to help artists and venues promote their events. Promoters can upload events into the system where they will be accessible to CultureMob users and distributed to other local listings services. Events can also be promoted using CultureMob's email notification service and the aforementioned widgets that keep the artist or venue's events up to date in all services with no ongoing maintenance.

CultureMob.com is a for-profit company began in Seattle in late 2007 and is backed by Benaroya Capital and many of the city's leading angel investors. CultureMob has already expanded to Portland and Denver, enjoying steady growth and high user engagement along the way towards eventual coverage of the entire United States.

CultureMob's social mission is "to strengthen our communities in the way that only arts and events can: creating greater vitality, new ideas and more meaningful connections between people and groups." In other words, CultureMob.com wants you to get out there and enjoy life, and now users in Boston, Phoenix, and San Diego can utilize CultureMob.com to discover, promote, and share local events as well.
