Colonel Edward Hagerty, P.H.D., Appointed Provost of Henley-Putnam University

Henley-Putnam University is pleased to announce Colonel Edward Hagerty, Ph.D., has graciously accepted the position of Provost with Henley-Putnam University as of July 1, 2008.

San Jose, CA (PRWEB) July 3, 2008 -- Henley-Putnam University (www.henley-putnam.edu), a premier university for online higher education in the field of Strategic Security, is pleased to announce Colonel Edward Hagerty, Ph.D., has graciously accepted the position of Provost with Henley-Putnam University as of July 1, 2008.

As Provost, he will be the second-ranking officer in the University Administrative hierarchy, overseeing all educational affairs and activities, paying particular attention to Academic Affairs, Student Services and Registrar departments.

Colonel Hagerty, USAF, is currently serving as the Assistant to the Commander Air Force Office of Special Investigations, Andrews AFB, Maryland where he leads 420 AFOSI special agents and support personnel. Colonel Hagerty has 28 years of progressively responsible experience in civilian and military law enforcement and counterintelligence/force protection arenas. He completed 14 years of distinguished service as a police lieutenant with the Philadelphia PD in 1993. His duties included working espionage, antiterrorism and counterintelligence cases and serving on joint FBI task forces. He has 13 years experience teaching adult students in an online environment. He maintains an active Top Secret clearance and is a published author in his field of military history, receiving numerous decorations from the USAF. He received his Ph.D., and M.A. in History, and a B.A. in Psychology from Temple University.
