Bemus Bay Condominium Project Gets Final Water Operating Permits

New York State approves final water operating permits for Bemus Bay Condominiums scheduled for occupancy by July 31.

Final operating permits have been issued to the developer of the Bemus Bay condominiums for installation of the water system that will serve the 40 new homes located along Chautauqua Lake's shoreline.

The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation recently notified Bemus Point Investments LLC of its approval for the two 400 feet deep-aquifer water wells that will supply the condominiums with an average of 7,440 gallons per day, the installation of two non-pressurized dry (fire) hydrants in Chautauqua Lake and the replacement of an existing 12" storm water outfall pipe with one having an 18" diameter.

"These final permits assure that we are well on our way to a timely project completion," said project co-developer, Lee Chilcote.

Co-developer Paul Goldberg said, "Our plan was to have homeowners in their units by this summer. The issuance of these permits and the aggressive construction schedule that we've put in place better assures that will happen."

"We are very pleased with the responsiveness of the state DEC in considering our permit applications," Chilcote said.
