Battersea Power Station - A New Energy for London

Details of the plans for redevelopment of Battersea Power Station published in a master plan on 20 June 2008 are available at the new web site.

(PRWEB) July 5, 2008 -- Further to the press release on 20 June, there is now additional information about the Battersea Power Station site and the ongoing public consultation. Here you will find exciting visual materials including computer generated images and video footage.

Battersea Power Station was the first in a series of large coal-fired electrical generating facilities set up in England during the first half of the last century, as part of a National Grid power distribution system. Battersea Power Station was considered the cutting edge of power generation and an architectural triumph.

Under new plans for the site currently being developed by Treasury Holdings, new homes, new jobs and better transport links will create a significant new urban quarter in Battersea - all within what will be the most sustainable development ever undertaken in Europe.
