Paper Shopping Bags Boost Conservation Efforts in Poland
Paper Shopping Bags supplied by Polska, the Polish division of Duro Bag Manufacturing Company, are helping spread awareness of recycling and conservation. The shopping bags were integral in a European environmental conference as well as World Environmental Day.
Florence, KY (PRWEB) July 8, 2008 -- The Polish division of Duro Bag Manufacturing Company, Polska, recently participated in several events aimed at preserving the earth.
A conference was held in April called "Sustainable Management of Energy and Wastes in View of Climate Change". The goal of the conference was to bring together representatives of nongovernmental organizations, researchers, students, and entrepreneurs to spread information of environmental protection technologies, exchange information and transfer knowledge between regions.
Attendance was estimated at between 5,000 and 6,000 people from Poznan and surrounding areas.
Then on June 5, 2008, which is World Environmental Day, the City of Poznan, Poland, held an education fair called "The Day of Solidarity with the Environment for the Young and Old". At the fair Duro Bag distributed about 5,000 ecological paper handle shopping bags to all attendees.
The fair even included a parade in the streets of Poznan to create awareness for energy conservation and sustainable waste management.
