Palomino System Innovations Inc. and NLP Technologies Inc. announce their partnership for joint R&D for a multi-lingual web content management and document management system. Based on their existing technologies, the two companies will develop an online service that integrates NLP's DecisionExpress automatic translation and summarization technology with the award-winning WebPal CMS web content management system. The resulting software service will assist both NLP's and Palomino's clients with automated work flow for content translation and summarization and therefore provide immense cost savings for maintenance of their multilingual web sites.

This is a prime example of two Canadian innovators joining forces to provide a bigger-than-both-combined solution.

Palomino System Innovations Inc. of Toronto, Ontario and NLP Technologies Inc. of Montreal, Quebec announced today their partnership to engage in joint research and development for a multi-lingual web content management and document management system.

Based on their existing technologies, the two companies will develop an online service that integrates NLP's DecisionExpress™ automatic translation and summarization technology with the award-winning WebPal CMS™ web content management system. The resulting software service will assist both NLP's and Palomino's clients with automated work flow for content translation and summarization and therefore provide added value to their existing technology platforms.

"We are very excited about this effort to integrate the WebPal system with NLP's auto-translation facilities. There will be added-value for both our clients who will benefit from a boost in translation turn-around, possibly at a much lower cost.", says Markus Latzel, CEO of Palomino Inc. "This is a prime example of two Canadian innovators joining forces to provide a bigger-than-both-combined solution."

Some work to integrate the two technologies via web services will be necessary and both companies are working on this. A release of the final solution is expected in early 2009. Clients of both companies will then be able to manage translation work flow of automatic and outsourced translation services right through their existing WebPal or DecisionExpress system.

"It is a great pleasure to integrate for the first time a statistical translation to a web content management system. This innovative function will allow the user to take more control of his multilingual content. The goal is not only to present the overall idea of the content to the user but also to provide a quality translation of the content" says Dr. Atefeh Farzindar, President of NLP Technologies, Inc.
