DEI Worldwide, the leader in social media and word of mouth marketing, announced today that Gunther Sonnenfeld has joined the senior management team as Vice President of Digital and Social Media. In this newly created position, Sonnenfeld will apply his 14 years of ad/marketing experience to spearhead the strategy and development of Web 2.0 initiatives for clients seeking to push the boundaries of the technologies driving how millions of consumers are connecting on the Internet. Sonnenfeld's task of expanding DEI's use of Web 2.0 applications will contribute greatly to DEI's overall mission of helping brand owners to have two way conversations with consumers online in order to gain valuable brand equity and market intelligence.

Most recently, Sonnenfeld was partner and strategy director at TRÜF, a direct marketing and digital media boutique agency, where he developed marketing strategies and advised on key Web 2.0 initiatives for top lifestyle brands and non-profit groups. Prior to TRÜF, Sonnenfeld held the position of Senior Director of Strategic Development at DNA Studio (now WHITTMAN HART), then a 100-person independent interactive ad agency, where he was responsible for new business and account strategy for a number of Fortune 500 clients. Notably, Sonnenfeld also served as Creative Director for creativeFEW, where he managed new business and oversaw the execution of multi-platforms campaigns involving interactive, mobile, print, public relations, direct marketing and direct response.
