WiChorus Adds Sales and Technology Veterans to its Leadership Team

Rene Arvin joins as Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Charles E. Perkins as Technical Fellow.

WiChorus, provider of the industry's most scalable platforms for Smart 4G Networks, today announced that it has named two industry leaders to join the company. Rene Arvin will serve as Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Charles E. Perkins as a Technical Fellow.

Rene Arvin, a 20-year veteran of the telecommunications' industry, has a proven track record of achieving aggressive sales targets for growing and established companies. Rene assumes worldwide sales responsibility and will work to accelerate the market adoption of WiChorus' scalable core platform for WiMAX and LTE networks. He joins WiChorus from Redline Communications where he was Vice President of Worldwide Sales. Prior to Redline, Rene has been VP Worldwide Sales for private and public companies like Xylan, Alcatel and NetEdge Systems. He has also held sales leadership roles at Packeteer, Blue Coat and SynOptics. Rene will report to Rehan Jalil, President and CEO of WiChorus.

Charles E. Perkins brings more than 25 years of technical expertise to WiChorus. He joins WiChorus from Nokia-Siemens Networks, where he was a Nokia Fellow. He is respected in the industry as co-inventor of Mobile IP, Mobile IPv6, Service Location Protocols and other techniques for seamless mobility in IP Networks. He has authored and edited several books on Mobile IP, Mobile IPv6 and Ad Hoc networking as well numerous papers and over 25 RFCs. He has been awarded numerous patents and was nominated for Inventor of the Year by the European Patent Office. He has served on Internet Architecture Board (IAB), the National Research Council, and various other national, military, and international technical assessment boards. Prior to Nokia, Charlie was with Sun Microsystems Netcentricity group and IBM TJ Watson Research Center.
