This year's tournament will consist of eight events featuring such poker styles as No Limit Texas Holdem, Pot Limit Omaha, H.O.R.S.E., Omaha Hi-Lo and Limit Mixed Stud. Players can expect buy-ins to be priced from $175 to $2,200 (Main Event). Last year's PokerNews Cup Australia welcomed over 1,500 participants from across the globe - some of whom received their share of the total $1.5 Million in prizes given away during the tournament.
As with all major poker tournaments, PokerNews will be giving away exclusive packages to the event allowing players to win their way there for next to nothing. Packages will cover Main Event entry, accommodation, invites to parties and cash for travel. In total, PokerNews will be giving away some $625,000 worth of packages with dates of freerolls set to be released in the coming weeks.
