Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) July 9, 2008 -- Regency Maintenance Services began a lighting retrofit for CKE Restaurants, Inc. in more than 300 of its Hardee's® restaurants on May 1, 2008.

CKE's responsible and proactive approach to reducing enterprise wide energy consumption emphasizes their corporate commitment to environmentally friendly and sustainable business practices. Ms. Juliann Rogers, CKE's Energy Manager, estimates that they will shed demand for approximately 18 Gigawatts (18 million Kilowatts) of energy annually and directly reduce CO2 emissions in excess of 1200 tons by implementing her modest retrofit program.

Ms. Rogers says, "We are dramatically reducing energy demand, increasing internal and external light levels, creating a more comfortable eating atmosphere and most importantly creating an environmentally green store for our customers to enjoy."

Ms. Rogers went on to say, "Regency Lighting and Regency Maintenance Services are established CKE partners and have been critical to the design, development and execution of our lighting retrofit solution. Their knowledge of proven energy-saving technologies and expertise in providing simple, cost effective, turn key solutions continues to be an invaluable out source for CKE Restaurants as well as our franchisees."

Mr. Tracy Beattie, Senior Director for National Accounts at Regency Lighting, commented, "Shedding energy demand is the new 'game in town.' CKE Restaurants' management team has been proactive leaders in eliminating old technology that wastes energy and money. By implementing our solution, they have captured the best of all worlds -- they have shed energy demand, saved money, reduced maintenance costs and improved the dining environment in their restaurants."
