As a natural connector, my goal was to bring together a nurturing community of moms from all over the country. This is the answer to what women in direct sales businesses are craving--community, connection, training, and the ability to promote themselves. I'm so pleased to share that in June 2008 The Metromom Direct Sales Association was born.
New Haven, CT (PRWEB) July 10, 2008 - July 9, 2008 -
The original Metromom, Kim DeYoung, is pleased to announce a whole new way for moms around the country to learn and connect--The Metromom Direct Sales Association. So what is a Metromom? A mom who's also an entrepreneur--a woman committed to her family and to managing her own home-based business with class.
Millions of women are showing a whole new entrepreneurial spirit--starting new businesses three times the rate of men. The number one reason women start their own business is for freedom and flexibility. That is why direct sales businesses are so popular--think Mary Kay, Tupperware, Melaleuca, Avon, Send Out Cards, and Pampered Chef, to name a few of the thousands. Then there are moms in direct sales who own franchises, are insurance agents, realtors etc.
Becoming a new mom motivated Kim DeYoung to take her own entrepreneurial leap ten years ago following a corporate career in the fashion industry. She never looked back. Even though she was incredibly successful in her own direct sales business, she discovered that there was a missing link.
The missing link is a venue for Metromoms in direct sales to connect and learn from one another. Yes, women receive support and training from within their own direct sales companies. Yet, Kim noticed that what they really craved were colleagues--other moms who understand the unique challenges in balancing motherhood with a business. They also wanted to learn the latest strategies and practical wisdom from successful women in every field of direct sales.
Kim DeYoung decided to make a difference. She explains, "As a natural connector, my goal was to bring together a nurturing community of moms from all over the country. This is the answer to what women in direct sales businesses are craving--community, connection, training, and the ability to promote themselves. I'm so pleased to share that in June 2008 The Metromom Direct Sales Association was born."
Metromoms achieve a much higher level of success as members of a supportive community. They also enjoy:
- Learning from business and mindset experts.
- Receiving tools to gain new leads and attract new business opportunities.
- Creating powerful connections to generate business momentum.
Founder, Kim DeYoung says women can explore the new website, http://www.metromom.com, order a free audio CD, "The 7 Deadly Sins that Women in Direct Sales Make…and How to Avoid Them" and sign-up for a free trial membership.
