Geo has told us over and over again how his dream was to premiere a film in New York City, and now thanks to this Festival he has that opportunity.
Hollywood, CA (PRWEB) July 9, 2008
Alliance Group Entertainment's "Hotel California" will make its Red Carpet World Premiere as an official featured selection of the 9th Annual New York International Latino Film Festival (NYILFF), presented by HBO on July 25, 2008.
"Hotel California", which stars Erik Palladino ("ER", F/X's "Over There"), Simon Rex ("Scary Movie 3"), Tyson Beckford ("Into The Blue"), Tatyana Ali ("Fresh Prince of Bel-Air"), Yancey Arias (NBC's "Knight Rider"), Noel Gugliemi ("Training Day"), and Raymond J. Barry ("Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story"), revolves around 3 friends: Troy (Palladino), Pete (Rex), and Al (Beckford), who are involved in the seedy Los Angeles crime world.
The film conveys what happens when betrayal, greed, and dishonesty penetrate a close-knit friendship circle. As past betrayals clash with present loyalties, Troy, Pete, and Al push each other to the limit as they try to make sense of their failed partnerships. As the tension builds up to a boiling point, all hell breaks loose in a series of intense twists and turns that lead to a gripping climax. "Hotel California" is directed by Geo Santini; Mike Karkeh serves as executive producer and producer.
Taking part in the New York International Latino Film Festival has a special meaning for the film's director Geo Santini, who is of half Greek and half Puerto Rican descent, and hails from New York City. "Hotel California" will mark Geo Santini's feature film debut. In addition, cast members Erik Palladino, Tyson Beckford, and Tatyana Ali all grew up in or around New York City.
"I am extremely excited that 'Hotel California' will be competing in the New York International Latino Film Festival; it gives young Latino directors like Geo Santini the opportunity to showcase his talent in front of the Latino community and hopefully inspire other young Latino talent, especially young Latino men, that anything is possible," says Mike Karkeh. "Geo has told us over and over again how his dream was to premiere a film in New York City, and now thanks to this Festival he has that opportunity."
The entire cast of "Hotel California" will be in New York City for the film's red carpet premiere. The film's stars will also be attending several parties in celebration of the film, including a pre-premiere party at Jay-Z's hot spot 40/40 on Thursday, July 24 and the post-premiere after-party at the chic Suzie Wong Saki Lounge on Friday, July 25, 2008.
